BATTLE OF THE BANDS Details for the Inaugural River Raisin Festival Battle of the Bands will be coming soon. It will take place during the festival on Saturday, July 10, 2021. Finalist bands will receive an invitation and instructions for the noon-6 p.m. competition day events. The finalist bands will have a half-hour performance set on the Pavilion Stage and a 15-minute set-up and 15-minute tear-down period. The winner will be determined by cash votes by fans and by mystery judges. The winning band will receive $1000 winner-take-all grand prize.
ENTERTAINMENT APPLICATIONS - Coming Soon Every year the River Raisin Festival welcomes many local performers to the stages and the streets of Blissfield. Musicians, dancers, and a variety of performers share their talent with the thousands of guests who visit the festival. Performances take place in a variety of locations including at the pavilion in the Clara Bachmayer Park on the west side of the river, and along and on the streets in Ellis Park. The two parks are connected by two pedestrian footbridges that span the river.
Application Information If you are an entertainer and would like to apply for the opportunity to perform at the River Raisin Festival, here's what you need to know!
- Applications are DUE MAY 1, 2021. - The dates of the 2021 River Raisin Festival are Thursday, July 8 - Saturday, July 10, 2021. - Because of the many applications, scheduling may take through the end of May 2021. - Regret letters will not be sent. You will be contacted only if you are selected to perform at the 2021 River Raisin Festival.
Every submission must include the following THREE items to be considered as a performer: 1. Entertainment Application: The completed application provides essential information about the entertainment act and its members. Do not leave any information on the application blank. It is your responsibility to provide accurate and complete information. Please notify us immediately if any information on your application changes.
2. Audio or Video Audition: All applications should include a demo of a performance with the application for RRF files. If we already have your demo on file, you do not need to submit it again. If you have never performed at the RRF, or if you are a previous year’s performer with new material, you should submit a new demo. You can submit your demo via mail or email. CDs, electronic music files and YouTube links are acceptable forms of audition material. Electronic music files and YouTube links can be emailed. Please clearly label all files with the Act's name. All mailed submissions should be addressed and received by 5:00 p.m. on May 2, 2020. Audition material will not be returned. Because we respect the livelihood of performing artists, it is NOT a requirement to submit a full, professionally produced studio album. A disc with 1-3 songs or videos is sufficient.
3. Entertainment Application Terms and Conditions: All applications require a signed copy of the Entertainment Application Terms and Conditions, which is included in the Entertainment Application document. Please be sure to read the complete form.
1. All acts must be family and festival friendly. 2. The RRF does not provide travel, hotel, food, alcohol or other rider amenities. 3. All parking in the area is free. Convenient parking is not guaranteed. 4. Additional promotional material may be sent with your application. However, no other material is required for consideration. 5. Even if not chosen to perform for the current year, we will keep your application on file and consider you for the following year.
