Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Miss River Raisin Scholarship Competition (under the direction of the Miss Michigan Scholarship Program and Miss America Organization) is postponed until July 2021. Miss River Raisin Festival 2019, Sydney Papenhagen, will continue serving as our titleholder and will compete in the Miss Michigan Scholarship Competition in June of 2021.
What is the Miss River Raisin Scholarship Program?
The Miss River Raisin Scholarship Program is an official local competition in the Miss Michigan and Miss America Organizations. We EMPOWER young women through SERVICE and SCHOLARSHIP. The Miss America Organization is the  largest scholarship program for women in the world, making available millions of dollars in college scholarship assistance each year. The Miss River Raisin Festival Scholarship Program has awarded thousands of scholarship dollars to Lenawee County young women. Experience is not needed. We prepare our candidates to be their "best self." They will find confidence, interview skills, personal empowerment, a love of service, encouragement, an opportunity to hone and present a talent, and a positive group of peers in our program. This is the only Miss Michigan/Miss America qualifying event in Lenawee County. The local competition is a highlight of the River Raisin Festival.
How do I become a candidate?
Lenawee County young women between ages 18 by July 31, 2022, and no older than 25 on Dec. 31, 2022 are invited to seek the title and scholarships offered by the program in 2021. They must be going into their high school senior year or older. They must be single young women who meet the age requirements, who are residents of Lenawee County, or who attend college or high school in the county on a full-time basis, or who work full-time in the county (and have in both instances since at least Jan. 9, 2021.) All candidates support the national Miss America Organization (MAO) platform of Children's Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH) by raising at least $100 for the MAO/CMNH partnership, but there is no entry fee. Pre-applications, which detail eligibility requirements, will be available by emailing to advance@cass.net. Names are now being taken for the 2021 competition!

The Annual Miss RRF Princess Walk is postponed until 2021!
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Miss River Raisin Festival Princess Walk will not take place in 2020. Check back later for sign-up information for our 2021 Princess Walk!
How can I support the Miss River Raisin Festival program?
SCHOLARSHIPS! Scholarship fundraising is underway and potential donors may contact Marcia Loader at 517-486-2400 or at advance@cass.net. At this time, the scholarship amounts have not yet been set and will depend on what is raised in the coming months.
